  • School counseling is comprehensive and proactive, working to meet the needs of all students.

  • Counselors assist students with social, family, emotional, and academic issues on an ongoing or crisis basis.

  • Small group thematic sessions on specific topics are conducted during the year as needed.

  • Counselors provide in-class guidance lessons designed to promote academic achievement, personal/social awareness and career exploration.

  • Counselors assist in inter-school transition and new-student orientation. The counseling team consists of three counselors who are assigned to one fifth grade team and to a specific grade level beginning in sixth grade and follow the same students throughout their time at the middle school.
