Most clubs are drop-in programs from 3:45-4:45. All dates* subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.

Students should listen to daily announcements for any changes!
We will post on Facebook any club cancellations/changes as early in the day as possible.

AMS FALL CLUBS

Art Club 5/6	Thurs. 3:45-4:45 pm	Ms. Pettus [email protected]	It's time to make art!! Have some fun painting, drawing and printmaking as we explore art after school. This club is for students in grades 5 & 6. Students may attend one or more sessions. Sign-ups in person outside of art room 2.	Sign-ups are outside of art room 2.
Mountain Biking Club	Wed. 3:45-5:15 pm	Mr. Tighe [email protected] Mr. White [email protected]	Students will ride bikes from AMS to either Horse Hill or the Merrimack Conservation trails off Amherst rd. We'll ride singletrack trails in the woods for several miles and then return to AMS.	Anyone interested in joining should see Mr. White or Mr. Tighe.
Stone Soup Club (Gr. 5)	Mon. 3:45-4:45 pm	Ms. Vordenberg [email protected]	Students will be learning simple cooking techniques, kitchen organization, clean up and all about working together in a cooking lab to make delicious food. Participants will bring assigned ingredients each week to make the recipe of the day!	This is a lottery selection.
Pokémon Club	Thurs. 3:45-4:45 pm	Ms. Murray [email protected]	Pokémon club is a place for students to engage with their friends and classmates about one of their favorite hobbies. Students can trade, battle, and partake in other Pokemon-themed activities.	Let your MM/LP teacher know if you are interested
Rock Climbing Club	Tues. 4:00-5:30 pm	Mr. St. Laurent [email protected]	Students will learn about and practice rock climbing in various forms such as top roping, sport climbing, and bouldering. They would learn proper rope handling skills, as well as climbing technique.	There are facility and equipment fees associated with this club.

Safe Space	Tues. 3:45-4:45 pm	Mr. Cooley [email protected]	The Safe Space club's mission is to create a welcoming space where LGBTQ+ students and allies can come together to support each other, share experiences, and work towards building a more inclusive school community.	This is a drop-in club, no sign-up needed.
NJHS	TBA	Mr. Dine [email protected]	NJHS is an honor awarded by nomination to recognize and promote academic achievement while also encouraging the ideals of service, leadership, character, and citizenship.	This is by nomination only.
Band & Jazz Band	Thurs. 3:45-4:45 pm	Mr. Swift [email protected]	Jazz Band is open to all students who can read music on a traditional band instrument, piano, bass, guitar, or drum set. The music is challenging and fun!	Starts 10/5/2023 @ 3:30 pm! Sign-ups are in the hall next to the band room.
Homework Club	Tues. & Thurs 3:24-4:15 pm	Ms. Hujsak [email protected]	A place where students can work independently, ask for help as needed, or even receive guided support and direction for their classwork and homework. All students are welcome!	This is a drop-in club, no sign-up needed.
Student Leadership	TBA 3:45-4:45 pm	Ms. Mainey [email protected] Mr. Farina [email protected]	A team of students looking to take a leadership role in organizing socials, dance, spirit weeks, school environment improvements, community outreach and support and so much more!
